RomeroFirst is a homepage I made for my family. It contains a copy of the family tree I’ve compiled, along with a collection of photos of as many people on the tree I could find. Inside my house, it also serves as the landing page for all computers, with a special section that can only be viewed inside my network.
In regards to the visual design…I have experience implementing designs such as Material and Bootstrap, and understand the trends that are (currently) in style, however my personal belief is that websites should be lightweight, original (graphics made by hand, etc), and, especially in the case of personal or family websites, not go above and beyond to look professional. This site conveys its information and has some flair, and does not go beyond that.
